Morton 201 Foundation Honors Founding Board Member Salvino

During the Scholarship Recipient Luncheon on May 25, the Morton 201 Foundation honored one of its founding board members, Cynthia Salvino.

Ms. Salvino was one of the original board members when the Foundation was established in 2011 and served as Foundation Secretary for 10 years, from 2011 to 2021, until her retirement.

At the luncheon, the Morton 201 Foundation presented Ms. Salvino with a rose corsage, the honorary title of Founding Director Emeritus and a plaque for her many years of service and dedication to the promotion of the Foundation's mission and efforts.

Salvino, a lifelong resident of Cicero, graduated from Mary Queen of Heaven and St. Mary High School. She received a degree in journalism and public relations from Columbia College. Over the years, she has done many different types of work, including writing for a newspaper, freelance writing, and substitute teaching. She worked for the Town of Cicero’s Special Events Department providing speakers, times, and publicity, as well as coordinating festivals, ethnic ceremonies, and other town events. Her mission has always been to help educate the public about the rich history and heritage of Cicero.

The Morton 201 Foundation would like to congratulate Ms. Salvino on her retirement and sincerely thank her for all of her years of service and dedication to the Foundation as well as the Town of Cicero.
