Our Town Dinner & Theatre Night

Benefits Pay It Forward Scholarship Fund

On Friday, December 7th, 2018, the Morton 201 Foundation hosted a Dinner & Theatre Night in the Morton East Culinary Lab. Guests enjoyed a four-course meal prepared by Morton East and Morton West culinary students, followed by a production of Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning play: Our Town performed by Morton East’s theater students in the historic Chodl Auditorium. This event benefitted the Morton 201 Foundation Pay It Forward Scholarship Fund. As a result of this successful event, the Foundation raised a total of $3,900, which now allows it to begin awarding scholarships to students within District 201.

The Morton 201 Foundation would like to thank the following:

Turano Baking Company, located at 6501 Roosevelt Road in Berwyn, Illinois for their generous donation of the bread served to our guests.

Morton 201 Foundation Board Member Maru Ayala, for the lovely centerpieces.

Father and son duo, Jesus Reyes and Jesus Reyes Jr., for the beautiful musical entertainment provided.

Lastly, The Morton 201 Foundation would like to give a special thanks to the Morton East Theater Department as well as the Culinary Arts instructors and students from both campuses for their hard work, hospitality and dedication in preparing the meals served and ensuring that our guests had a warm and welcoming experience.
